Kim Hiller

Director of School Placement

Educational Consultant

Kim Hiller has over 25 years of experience in the Special Education field. After completing her Master of Special Education degree at the University of Maryland, Kim worked as an Inclusion and Resource Teacher for Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) before starting her own tutoring company.

 

In 2007, Kim joined the team at The Diener School where she held several administrative and leadership roles for 16 years, including Learning Skills Specialist, Director of Education and Student Services, and Elementary School Director. Kim played an integral role for students transitioning to other schools and served as an advocate for families during the IEP process for public school placement. Kim has experience working closely with students, parents, advocates, therapists, and admission directors in order to find the best school settings for neuro-diverse children.

 

Kim’s certifications include Atlantic Seaboard Dyslexia Education Center; Multi-Sensory Math Course I and II; Multi-Sensory Writing Instruction; Wilson Fundamental Reading Program; Character Education; Kingsbury Tutor Training; Safety Cares; and Crisis Prevention Intervention. Kim is a member of the Council of Parents, Advocates, and Attorneys (COPAA); Wiser; and the Learning Disabilities Association of America
